Africa, June 2001 |
We travelled with a group from UCL to southern Africa to see the total eclipse of the sun in 2001. We spent the first couple of weeks visiting parts of South Africa (Pretoria, Durban, Zululand and Kruger National Park) before travelling up to Zimbabwe and the Victoria Falls. We met up with the rest of the UCL group in Harare. The eclipse itself was magnificent, and would have made the trip worthwhile on it's own.
These photos are just a selection of about 10 rolls of film Mike took during three and a half weeks (plus a similar amount from Debs). Maybe some day we'll scan in the rest, but we may need a bigger web site first...
